Pear covers all schools throughout London and The Home Counties and our coverage of East London schools is no different.
East London is a thriving and diverse part of London consisting of seven boroughs; Barking & Dagenham, Hackney, Havering, Newham, Redbridge, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest. Although its schools are growing and developing, recent London school league table results show that some schools, in particular secondary schools in Barking and Dagenham, are not achieving as highly as hoped.
With one of the more diverse school populations in London East London schools make for a healthy mix of pupils, with students coming from many religious, economic and ethnic backgrounds. This means that teaching in East London schools represents the best opportunity for staff to reach as diverse a student body as possible anywhere in England.
